Try Scuba Diving

Bet You’ve Always Wanted To Try Scuba Diving… Right?

Maybe you watched a cool movie on television showing scuba divers playing with dolphins or one of your friends just returned from a fun dive trip to the “Islands” or maybe you’ve always dreamed of diving on a WWII wreck. Whatever your reason, in no time at all we’ll have you blowing bubbles underwater, doing somersaults, handstands and just about any other fun thing you can imagine.

Our Try Scuba Diving Experience is fun, easy, and a great way to experience what it’s like to be weightless an breathe underwater. The really cool part is that we have two Try Scuba programs from which to choose. One at A-1 Scuba & Travel Aquatics Center and another at the Denver Downtown Aquarium!

Try Scuba

Your A-1 diving professional will describe and review some of the basic guidelines you need to know in order to safely dive underwater such as; breath continuously, dive with a buddy, techniques to equalize the pressure in your ears and sinuses, and more. After the briefing you’ll enter the water and quickly discover how easy it is to breathe underwater, swim effortlessly through the water, do summersaults/handstands, and so much more. It’ll definitely be one of the most unique activities you could ever imagine.

Prerequisites

  • Be at least 10 years old
  • Be in reasonably good health
  • Complete the (3) required Registration Forms before arriving
  • Required Course Documents

NOTE:  ONLY COMPLETE THE DIVER MEDICAL FORM if you answered  YES to any of the (3) questions on the SSI Introductory Fit To Dive section of the attached forms.

VERY IMPORTANT

If you have been requested to submit a medical evaluation signed by a medical professional, please note that we (SSI and A-1 Scuba) cannot accept the form with any comments, whether handwritten or typed, regardless of who put them there.

The form should be seen as a yes/no type of approval and any stipulation added by anyone effectively negates the validity of the form, even if everything else was done correctly.

The medical form itself was put together by highly qualified medical professionals (NOT SSI) and neither SSI, A-1 Scuba or their Instructors, the diver, or the medical professional are authorized to amend it beyond simply filling it out and signing as indicated.

If anyone feels that changes need to be made to the form, please inform SSI and we will follow up, but the current version remains in effect until changes are officially implemented and a new version is published, should that be deemed necessary.
