It gets even better when you discover the thrill of diving at night, learn how to navigate to a cool underwater reef or wreck, experience the excitement of diving deep, and learn the proper techniques for bringing an object to the surface. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, then our Advanced Course is for you! You will receive (4) SSI Specialties in this course. When completing the Advanced Course at the Blue Hole and A-1 Group Trips the Search & Recovery Specialty will be replaced with the Deep Dive Specialty.

Once you log your 24th (verified) dive in your SSI Digital Logbook, you’ll receive, FOR FREE, the SSI Advanced Diver Recognitions card. Yep, for free!

COMPUTER – NO Open Water Dives

During this SELF-STUDY SPECIALTY you’ll become familiar with the features and benefits of using a dive computer. Knowing how to use all the functions of a dive computer, you will not only increase your dive safety but also make planning and executing your dive easier.  You’ll explore the functions and capabilities of different dive computers and learn how to use these functions before, during, and after your dive.

  • Complete all chapter Section Review Questions
  • Pass the online final exam
  • Have a MySSI account HERE Be sure to upload a digital photo, your complete address, and current date of birth. All necessary in order to issue your digital e-Kits.
  • Be a certified Open Water Diver from a recognized Training Agency.
  • Be at least 10 years of age for (Night & Limited Visibility, Navigation and Computer)
  • Be at least 12 years of age for (Search & Recovery)
  • Be at least 15 years of age for (Deep)
  • Download and complete the specific specialty documents

THE DIVER MEDICAL PARTICIPANT QUESTIONNAIRE IS VERY IMPORTANT! If you answer YES to questions 3, 5, or 10 on page (1) of the Diver Medical Questionnaire or any of the questions on page (2), you will be directed to print, sign, and date page (1) of the questionnaire and bring all three pages to your certified medical professional for an evaluation. Your certified medical professional must approve, date, and sign PAGE (3) and add their medical credentials (MD, DO, PA, LPN)

Unfortunately, the participant will not be allowed in the water until these forms have been completed, signed, dated, and reviewed for completeness and accuracy.

Be sure to download, print, complete all required areas on each form (name, date, initials, etc.) and hand the completed documents to the instructor, when you arrive for your class.

UNFORTUNATELY, THE PARTICIPANT WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ENTER THE WATER UNTIL THE PROPER DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED, SIGNED, AND REVIEWED FOR ACCURACY BY YOUR INSTRUCTOR.

Payment in full was required to reserve your space in the class.

  • Once the e-Kits are issued there is no refund for the digital materials.
  • Should you cancel or transfer, FOR ANY REASON, less than 48 hours before the starting date of the course, all fees will be forfeited.
  • Should you transfer less than seven days, but more than 48 hours before the starting date of the class, there will be a 50% transfer/cancellation fee.
