Decorated Disabled Veteran, Jesse Murphree, Gold Medalist, Missy Franklin and Missy’s friend and teammate, Abby Cutler started their open water certification recently. The open water certification is in preparation for Kurt Miller’s and MakeaHero.org film, The Current which tells the story of six individuals from all walks of life that faced incredible obstacles, found the drive and inspiration to overcome their disabilities, and became real everyday heroes. Through water sports, each has ultimately discovered or rediscovered freedom of movement.
