Specialty Diver Course
Did you know the two most popular and practical specialties in the diving industry are Enriched Air Nitrox and Perfect Buoyancy?
The combination of these two specialties will increase your comfort underwater, reduce gas consumption, prolong your dives, decrease your surface interval, enhance your diving experience, and more. You’ll have fun, gain invaluable information, apply the knowledge during all future diving AND, you’ll complete both of them IN ONE EVENING!
Here’s a great bonus, once you log your 12th (verified) dive in your SSI Digital Logbook, you’ll receive, FOR FREE, the SSI Specialty Diver Recognition card. Yep, for free!
Advanced Diver Course
$475
During this course you’ll earn four SSI Specialties at one of three popular diving locations; The Blue Hole in Santa Rosa New Mexico, The Crater in Heber City Utah, or the Gravel Pond at Chatfield Reservoir in Littleton.
Each location includes the Night Diving & Limited Visibility, Navigation, and Computer Diving Specialties. The Blue Hole will also include the Deep Specialty. In lieu of the Deep Specialty, the Crater and Chatfield Advanced Course will include the Search & Recover Specialty. All Specialties include the SSI Digital online manual and specialty certification. Once you log your 24th (verified) dive in your SSI Logbook, SSI will issue you the Advanced Diver Recognition card, FOR FREE!
Aquarium Ecology Specialties Course
Our Denver Downtown Aquarium Ecology Specialty Diver Course has been recognized as, “one of the most unique courses of its kind in the country.” It provides an amazing underwater diving experience that will enhance your diving and improve your knowledge of the cool critters you often encounter while diving. The course includes FOUR specialties (Shark, Turtle, Ray and, Fish Identification). And the cool part is you get to apply the information you learned in your online digital manuals while diving in two amazing exhibits at the Denver Downtown Aquarium!
Dry Suit Diving Specialty Course
Great dive experiences are not limited to tropical reefs or the warm and sunny summer months. With the proper exposure protection, you can make diving a year-round activity, and experience the amazing diversity of a kelp forest, explore freshwater lakes and rivers, or dive between two continental plates. The SSI Dry Suit Diving program teaches you the new skills needed to dive with a dry suit, and provides the in-depth knowledge and experience required to properly use, maintain and store your new equipment.
Navigation Specialty Course
Understanding how to navigate a dive site increases your comfort and confidence during your underwater adventures. Advanced navigation skills enable you and your buddy to safely navigate the dive from start to finish. By using a compass or observing your natural surroundings, you will learn the navigation skills necessary to master your marine environment. This is one of the four specialties included in our Advanced Diver Course. You also have the option to sign up ala carte.
Night & Limited Visibility Specialty Course
Your dive adventure doesn’t have to end when the sun goes down, or if your only option for a dive site is a lake or quarry where visibility is limited by the clarity of the water. This kind of diving requires additional training and experience, from how to manage underwater lights to buddy team management. Earning your SSI Night and Limited Visibility certification gives you access to an entirely new range of diving opportunities and experiences. This is one of the four specialties included in our Advanced Diver Course. You also have the option to sign up ala carte.
Search & Recovery Specialty Course
Have you ever seen someone lose their mask or a fin when they jump into the water? Ocean, lakes and rivers are dynamic environments, and sometimes things get lost. Finding and recovering lost objects is an advanced skill, and requires careful thought and dive planning. SSI’s Search and Recovery Specialty provides in-depth information on the necessary equipment, skills, knowledge and experience required to execute a recreational search and recovery operation for small to medium sized objects. This is one of the four specialties included in our Advanced Diver Course. You also have the option to sign up ala carte.
Deep Diving Specialty Course
Many of the more exciting, intriguing dive sites are found in deeper water. To plan your dives properly you must first know how to prevent any of the potential risks involved in deep diving. This course will provide you with the information to make deep dives comfortably and confidently. This is one of the four specialties included in our Blue Hole Advanced Diver Course .
