Divers with Disabilities Try Scuba Experience

Adaptive Scuba Experience

Ever since you can remember, you’ve wanted to try scuba diving, right?

For the past 40 years A-1 Scuba & Travel Aquatics Center and Craig Hospital have teamed up to provide a FREE try scuba diving experience specifically for the people with disabilities. A-1 instructors and volunteers have attended a specialized HSA (Handicapped Scuba Association) certification course, conducted by A-1 trainers, qualifying them to conduct the program.

We have successfully introduced scuba diving to many individuals with disabilities to include Spinal cord Injury, Cerebral Palsy, Blindness, Traumatic Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, Amputee, PTSD and others.  Those experiencing this adaptive adventure will quickly discover that water IS the great equalizer!
